TLS 1.0 Deprecation

11 April,19 at 11:51 AM

Product:

Centrify Cloud

Components:

Centrify Connector and Centrify Cloud

Centrify continually assesses the state of our existing solutions and looks for ways to make improvements. As part of our mission to protect customers and align with PCI DSS, Centrify updated the minimum TLS protocol required to connect to the Centrify Cloud Platform from TLS 1.0 to TLS 1.1 as of Centrify Cloud 18.5 on May 20th, 2018. TLS 1.0 support is targeted for deprecation on June 23, 2018 when Centrify Cloud 18.6 is released.

There are multiple impacts to customers with the deprecation of TLS 1.0, including:

  1. Centrify Connector
  2. End Users
  3. Centrify Browser Extension (CBE)
  4. Integration and API Users

Additional Consideration:

To ensure that your applications to continue to function properly with the Centrify Cloud Platform, please consult your application vendors to ensure that they are compatible with TLS 1.1 or 1.2.

Customers are advised to upgrade the Connector to 18.5 upon its release (tentatively scheduled for May 19, 2018*.) Please thoroughly review the knowledge base article and take the appropriate action prior to June 23, 2018 in order to avoid service disruption.
