Tips for finding Knowledge Articles

  • - Enter just a few key words related to your question or problem
  • - Add Key words to refine your search as necessary
  • - Do not use punctuation
  • - Search is not case sensitive
  • - Avoid non-descriptive filler words like "how", "the", "what", etc.
  • - If you do not find what you are looking for the first time,reduce the number of key words you enter and try searching again.

KB-9944: Is it possible to copy/paste files to a remote machine accessed via a Centrify tenant?

Question:

Is it possible to copy files to a remote machine through your tenant?


Answer:

Yes, it is possible, but you must be using the local RDP client and have the Privilege Remote Access Kit installed.
                To install the Privilege Remote Access kit, please do the following:
  1. Login to the tenant
  2. Go to Settings > Infrastructure > User Preferences > scroll to the bottom of this page
  3. Look for the section that says “Local Client Launcher” and click “Download"

      d. Once it gets installed, place a checkmark next to ‘I have installed the Local Client Launcher on this computer and click “Test”

After installing the Remote Access Kit, the customer should be able to copy files to the remote machine.

Note: 
It is not possible to copy/paste through the tenant when using the built in web client. This is a limitation of the browser.
