Question:
If DNS resolution is not allowed in some use cases, is it possible to work with Centrify DirectControl agent in the environment?
Answer:
The answer is YES if properly configured, adclient can operate without a working DNS server.
Here are the prerequisites,
1. Configuring dns.dc and dns.gc parameters in /etc/centrifydc/centrifydc.conf to enumerate usable domain controllers (DC) and global catalogs (GC).
2. Configuring ALL the required FQDN and IP addresses in /etc/hosts file.
