Tips for finding Knowledge Articles

  • - Enter just a few key words related to your question or problem
  • - Add Key words to refine your search as necessary
  • - Do not use punctuation
  • - Search is not case sensitive
  • - Avoid non-descriptive filler words like "how", "the", "what", etc.
  • - If you do not find what you are looking for the first time,reduce the number of key words you enter and try searching again.
  • - Minimum supported Internet Explorer version is IE9

KB-9428: Cannot enroll Samsung device by UMC when using Ethernet connection

Problem:

User failed to enroll Samsung device using direct link (enroll.samsungknox.com) with Ethernet Connection. After clicking "Next" on the Enrollment page, an error message "
Unable to connect to network. Check connection settings and try again" was shown:

On the same device, device can be enrolled when using Wifi or cellular data.

Cause:

Samsung does not support device enrollment using the above direct link with Ethernet Connection.

Workaround:
  • Use wifi or mobile data when enrolling using direct link.
  • Enroll by using the Centrify mobile app downloaded from Google Play Store.
