KB-9411: Limitation when using MFA with a AD user which conflicts with a Cloud user

Centrify DirectControl ,

30 October,17 at 11:47 PM

Problem:

Unable to MFA as the Active Directory user if the same user is a Centrify Cloud Directory user.

Cause:

An user part of the System Admin role creates a Cloud Directory user before the AD user is added to the user table with the same user principal name. In this scenario the Centrify Cloud tenant will always treats the UPN for the MFA requests as that of the Cloud Directory user. The AD user is not considered.

Resolution:

Remove the cloud directory user or rename the UPN for one of the conflicting users.
