Centrify DirectControl ,

12 October,17 at 10:15 PM

Problem:
In Centrify Agent for Windows when executing the elevate privilege to launch SQL Server Management Studio version 17.1 as an Admin AD user (ssms.exe), the application errors out.

User-added image

Cause:
Setting in Centrify Agent for Windows Installer disabled interactive login which is required for MSSQL Management Studio to run with privilege.

Workaround:
Have the user launch MSSQL Management Studio using "run as administrator" and not using "Run with Privilege"

Resolution:
Upgrade Centrify Agent for Windows to 2017.2 (3.4.2) or greater.
