Question:

How to modify the centrifydc.log rotation and size limit on Mac?

Answer:
  1. On the Mac machine as a local admin, open the following file:
/etc/periodic/centrify_hourly/900.com.centrify.dc.logrotate
  1. Modify the following parameter for the log file size "SIZE_LIMIT=$(( 10 * 1024 * 1024 ))" to a higher value than 10MB, say 500MB each file would be:
"SIZE_LIMIT=$(( 500 * 1024 * 1024 ))"
  1. Modify the following parameter for the number of log files that will be stored “MAX_ARCHIVES=5” to higher value than 5, say storing 10 files would be:
"MAX_ARCHIVES=10"
  1. Save and close the file, and the next hourly log rotation will check the new size and rotate only if it is above the defined size limit (In this example would be 500MB.)
