Tips for finding Knowledge Articles

  • - Enter just a few key words related to your question or problem
  • - Add Key words to refine your search as necessary
  • - Do not use punctuation
  • - Search is not case sensitive
  • - Avoid non-descriptive filler words like "how", "the", "what", etc.
  • - If you do not find what you are looking for the first time,reduce the number of key words you enter and try searching again.
  • - Minimum supported Internet Explorer version is IE9

KB-8976: Limitation when using MFA with B2B (Federation) tenants

Applies to: Centrify Agent for Windows 3.4.1-466 and greater

Problem:
A user is federated for the platform instance the Centrify Agent for Windows in connected to, when attempting to log in MFA does not work. 

Cause:
The authentication profile has the password mechanism selected, this method is not acceptable for federated users. 

Resolution:
Create a new Authentication profile without the password option or remove the password option from the current authentication profile.
