Tips for finding Knowledge Articles

  • - Enter just a few key words related to your question or problem
  • - Add Key words to refine your search as necessary
  • - Do not use punctuation
  • - Search is not case sensitive
  • - Avoid non-descriptive filler words like "how", "the", "what", etc.
  • - If you do not find what you are looking for the first time,reduce the number of key words you enter and try searching again.
  • - Minimum supported Internet Explorer version is IE9

KB-8804- Users cannot edit their Profile in the User Portal

Problem:

A user is unable to modify Active Directory fields like Mobile Number, Office Number, etc. in their User Portal (Account -> Personal Profile -> Edit)   




Cause: 

Active Directory permissions need to set for Read/Write.




Workaround:

None.




Resolution: 

To correct this issue, an administrator should complete the following steps:

1.  Open Active Directory Users and Computers
2.  Open a user that experiences this issue
3.  Click on the Security Tab
4.  Click on SELF
5.  Check Allow for Write Personal information
6.  Click Apply
