Tips for finding Knowledge Articles

  • - Enter just a few key words related to your question or problem
  • - Add Key words to refine your search as necessary
  • - Do not use punctuation
  • - Search is not case sensitive
  • - Avoid non-descriptive filler words like "how", "the", "what", etc.
  • - If you do not find what you are looking for the first time,reduce the number of key words you enter and try searching again.

KB-8741: "Enroll failed, Problems downloading and creating your profile on behalf of [User Name]" error when enrolling a Mac on behalf of a user

Problem:

When an administrator enrolls a Mac on behalf of an end user, he may receive the following error:
"
Enroll failed, Problems downloading and creating your profile on behalf of [User Name] for local user [username] with device ID [XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX]. Check your network connection and try again. Error downloading  profile, err: [%v] eoboUser: [%v] localUser: [%v] hardUUID: [%v] localUserGUID: [%v] HTTP error 400 Bad Request User Name username XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX"

Cause:

The user entered in the "User to Enroll" box is not a valid user in the Centrify Admin Portal.

Resolution:

Please make sure to enter a valid username (and domain suffix) that the user uses to log in to the Centrify User Portal.
