  • - Enter just a few key words related to your question or problem
  • - Add Key words to refine your search as necessary
  • - Do not use punctuation
  • - Search is not case sensitive
  • - Avoid non-descriptive filler words like "how", "the", "what", etc.
  • - If you do not find what you are looking for the first time,reduce the number of key words you enter and try searching again.

KB-8731: On HP-UX 11.31, user sessions are not audited after Suite 2015 or later version of DirectAudit is installed

Centrify DirectAudit for HP-UX 11.31 Suite 2015 and above
 
Problem:
When Centrify DirectAudit agent (from Suite 2015 or later) is installed on HP-UX 11.31, user login sessions using
ssh 
would not be audited. After login, the command:

echo $DA_AUDIT
shows value of "2".


Cause:
This is a known issue with HP-UX 11.31 libc, reported with QX:QXCR1000955705
 
This affects a function that Centrify DirectAudit uses. HP has released patch PHNE_40225 to address this issue.

 
Resolution:
Apply HP patch PHNE_40225 on HP-UX 11.31
