Tips for finding Knowledge Articles

  • - Enter just a few key words related to your question or problem

KB-8728: Getting a blank screen when logging into a Ubuntu 16.04 device with an Active Directory account

Applies to:
All version of DirectControl where a Ubuntu 16.04 device is joined.

Problem:
After joining a Ubuntu 16.04 device to the domain, logging in with an Active Directory account produces a blank screen and proceeds no further.

Cause:
The revision of Ubuntu installed is 16.04.1 which appears to have an issue with the Centrify login process.

Resolution:
Upgrade the Ubuntu installation to 16.04.2. The Active Directory login will then proceed normally.
