KB-8460: Adquery doesn't find the user but dzinfo does

Centrify DirectControl ,

31 March,17 at 04:18 PM

Applies to:
All version of DirectControl.;

Problem:
A user is unable to login with the AD account. Running an AD query shows zone disabled. Running dzinfo finds the user OK.

Cause:
There is s duplicate zone user SCP causing Active Directory to have trouble identifying which user is being called.

Solution:
Find both user names and then use adsiedit to remove the duplicate zone user SCP (it will likely have a ':1' at the end of the name), and then modify the ParentLink of the remaining, correct zone user to point to the correct SID.
