KB-8154: DirectAudit - install SQL Server on a Domain Controller

Centrify DirectAudit ,

2 February,17 at 12:23 AM

Applies to: All versions of Direct Audit on all supported platforms

Question:
Can I install Direct Audit and SQL Server on the same machine as my Domain Controller?

Answer:
Centrify and Microsoft do not recommend to install SQL Server on a Domain Controller. When configuring the SQL Server service account to NetworkService or LocalService the installation will fail as this is not permitted on a Domain Controller.
