KB-7933: Do OEM Licenses use purchased licenses

Centrify DirectControl ,

16 December,16 at 04:28 PM

Applies to: All versions of Direct Control on all supported OS platforms

Question:

How do Centrify OEM licenses, Cisco ACS for example, impact purchased licenses? How was it installed on such devices and is there a way to remove it?

Answer:

Centrify can distinguish which devices are using OEM licenses compared to using a standard license. Centrify's deployment report will show devices running Centrify OEM software as "Null Zone" for the Agent type. This license type does not get counted against your paid license pool. Centrify shows these devices and the licenses in the deployment report for informational purposes only. OEM versions of Direct Control are pre-loaded with the device and can not be removed.
