How to troubleshoot for SQL Database upgrade failure?
In order to investigate the issue during the SQL Database upgrade, we will need to analyze the upgrade logs with the following steps:
To retrieve the upgrade log files, login as the user who was performing the Database upgrade
Access to the %temp% folder, search for the file that named ‘DirectManage_Audit_Setup_YYYY_MM_DD.log' (See screenshot below)
Send it back to Centrify Support to further investigate the issue.
If you are upgrading the Database manually as follow:
Run setup.exe / database, then generate the upgrade script
Manually execute each of the files in SQL Management Studio (User has to be a member of sysadmin role to perform manual upgrade)
ALWAYS upgrade the Audit Store database first, then the Management Database at the end
If the manual upgrade fails as well, please help capture a screenshot of the error message and send it back to Centrify Support to further investigate.
