KB-7861: Failure to analyze via Deployment Manager

Centrify Deployment Manager Suite 2016 on all supported platforms


Using Deployment Manager to perform an 'Analyze Environment'(manual or via Step 3) fails with an error similar to the following, which can be found in the trace result of the computers's history event for the failed analysis:

"Cannot find adcheck package for this computer."


This is a known issue in Suite 2016 where Deployment Manager will fail to find the already-installed 'adcheck' package on target computer. This is due to improvements made for support to the Centrify for Mac Agent that results in a miscalculation of the 'adcheck' path for *nix systems; checking in /usr/local/share/centrifydc/bin rather than the correct path /usr/share/centrifydc/bin.


If this is encountered, the issue may be worked around by repeating 'Step 2. Download Centrify Software' within Deployment Manager. This will download the latest 'adcheck' package from the Centrify Support Portal (or from install media), which Deployment Manager will then use to push to the agent when an Analysis operation is requested.


This behavior has been resolved in Suite 2016.1
