Question: If a Centrfiy Report Services customer creates custom reports using the included SQL Server 2008 R2 Express Edition and then decides to migrate to use a production SQL Server, what needs to be done to migrate the custom reports?
Answer: Please follow below steps: 1. Create a temporary folder on your local computer to temporarily store all the downloaded custom reports. 2. Use Internet Explorer to open "Centrify Report Services" 3. Go into "Custom Reports" folder. 4. Select a report and click "Download..." to Download and save the report to the temporary folder created in step - Do this for all the reports. 5. Exit from Internet Explorer. 6. Run the Centrify Report Services Configuration Wizard to choose to use an existing SQL Server instance. Specify the new SQL Server instance that you want to use and select to Deploy Centrify Reports. 7. Use Internet Explorer to open "Centrify Report Services" again. 8. Go into the "Custom Reports" folder. 9. Click "Upload File" in toolbar to upload the report files downloaded in step 4. 10. For each uploaded report, a. Select and click "Manage"->"Data Sources" b. Select the radio button "A shared data source" c. Click the "Browse" d. Expand the folder "Centrify Report Services" e. Select the item "ReportDataSource" f. Click OK g. Click "Apply" in the "Data Sources" page.
