KB-7516: Why do I receive a permissions error when executing a daily sync?

Centrify Identity Service, App Edition ,   Centrify Identity Service, App Plus ,

11 November,16 at 04:47 PM

Applies to: Centrify Identity Service, App Edition/App Plus Edition

Question:
Why am I receiving the following error when I perform a scheduled daily sync: "Provisioning sync job is running in security context of user xxxx@xxx.com, who is not in the sysadmin role. Provisioning sync jobs must be run or scheduled by a user in the sysadmin role."

Answer:
This will happen if the administrator that originally scheduled the daily sync job was removed from the "System Administrator" Role.

To fix this, an administrator in the "System Administrator" Role in Cloud Manager will need to reschedule the daily provisioning job.

To do this the following steps are needed:

1.  Login to Cloud Manager with an admin account.
2.  Navigate to Settings
3.  Click Users
4.  Click Provisioning
5.  Make an edit to the Daily Sync Schedule
6.  Click Save
