Tips for finding Knowledge Articles

  • - Enter just a few key words related to your question or problem
  • - Add Key words to refine your search as necessary
  • - Do not use punctuation
  • - Search is not case sensitive
  • - Avoid non-descriptive filler words like "how", "the", "what", etc.
  • - If you do not find what you are looking for the first time,reduce the number of key words you enter and try searching again.
  • - Minimum supported Internet Explorer version is IE9

KB-7432: Direct Authorize does not work with Direct Manage

Question:

When trying to execute elevated commands using Direct Authorize the following error below is shown:

 
Cannot execute privilege commands in this computer using Direct Authorize.

Answer:

Steps to resolve the above error:
  1. Launch Deployment Manager
  2. Navigate to the respective machine
  3. Right click and select Properties
  4. Select Tab Centrify-Deployment
  5. Click on Credentials button, unselect this checkbox"Specify privilege command in the task that requires root privileges"

Note:If customer prefer to check the box 
"Specify privilege command in the task that requires root privileges" then do the following
  1. Under "Execute using" select su and insert password.(See image below)
