App Access Service ,

17 August,16 at 04:08 PM

How can an Administrator limit the size of the log files on a Cloud Connector host?

To set a configuration to limit the size of the collected Cloud Connector logs on a Cloud Connector host machine, an Administrator will need to log in to the Cloud Manager to make this change. This will be pushed down to the Connector host once made.

To modify the log file size, please perform the following steps;
  1. Log in to the Cloud Manager for the account. (
  2. Click on Settings>>Network and then select "Cloud Connectors"
  3. Click the checkbox to the left of the Connector and in the action menu, choose to "Change Log settings."

Note- Please do not make any changes to the naming of the logs, unless instructed to do so by Support.

Log file size is defaulted at 2MB, and max number of log backups is defaulted to 450 entries. Changing the size will result in smaller log.txt files, and modifying the log backup counter will limit the number of log.txt entries. (log.txt, log.txt.1, log.txt.2, etc)
