KB-6934: Why a verified Office 365 domain is not listed under "Application Settings" in Office 365 app

Centrify Identity Service, App Edition ,

23 May,16 at 05:59 PM

Applies to: All versions of Centrify Identity Service with Office 365

Question:

Why is there an Office 365 verified domain missing from domain list in Centrify Office 365 app after verifying the Office 365 admin account successfully?

Answer:

This is an expected behavior. The domain that the Office 365 admin account belongs to will not be listed. This prevents admin from federating its domain and the admin can still login to Office 365 admin portal using username and password in case of SSO failure.

Below is an example:

- There are two Office 365 admin accounts and one is from domain centrisupport.net and the other is from domain centrisupportnet.onmicrosoft.com.

- Domain centrifsupport.net needs to be federated.

- If henry.admin@centrisupport.net is used to connect with Office 365, domain centrisupport.net will not be listed.

- If the admin from centrisupportnet.onmicrosoft.com is used instead, centrisupport.net will be listed.
