KB-6933: When will Centrify-enabled PuTTY upgrade to 0.67 ?

When will Putty Version 0.67 be enable at Centrify? There is a serious security issue discovered on PuTTY<=0.66 (CVE-2016-2563).

At the time of writing this article, Centrify-Enabled PuTTY is currently integrated with open source PuTTY version 0.64. It is planned to upgrade our distro to PuTTY 0.67 in Centrify Suite 2017 and the release date is targeting the end of year 2016 tentatively.

Note: Centrify understand the urgency of the secruity patch, we will provide an one-off PuTTY package to customer by request. Please contact Centrify Support for the package download.

You may run into installation issue if you have upgraded to PuTTY 0.67 one-off prior to install Centrify Suite 2016.1. This is because the PuTTY ships with Centrify Suite 2016.1 is elder release (PuTTY 0.64)
