KB-6637: Add -e extendedDN option to have the extended disguished name to ldapsearch

Authentication Service ,

1 July,18 at 03:04 AM

Question:
ldapsearch command does not return extended distinguished name.

How do we add the server extended distinguished name to ldapsearch?

Answer:
ldapsearch adds extendedDN to the –e or –E option to return the extended distinguished name of the object.

See below on adding a new "-e extendedDN" to ldapsearch.

When set will ask for extendedDN for the search.

ldapsearch -E !extendedDN=0 -Q -m -LLL -H "ldap://" -b "CN=Users,DC=centrify-pw,DC=test" "(CN=group1)"

This is now fixed in Server suite 2016.
