KB-6631: Need to Provide option to select between RFC 2307 and MS SFU schema

Centrify DirectControl ,

1 December,16 at 04:54 PM

Applies to: Direct Control 5.3.0

Problem:

We need an option in centrifydc.conf for adclient to force it to continue to use SFU 3.x attributes.
Currently as soon as adclient detects RFC2307 attributes are set, it will start to use them for SFU zone and ignore SFU 3.5 attrs.
In scenarios like upgrading from SFU to HZ, customers can run into issues. A way is needed to continue using the values from SFU
schema, i.e. the ability to select between RFC 2307 and MS SFU schema.

Resolution:

Adclient 5.3.0 introduced a centrifydc.conf parameter:
adclient.sfu.schema.force.mssfu30: false (default)
If set to true, it forces SFU schema to continue to extend user/group objects
using SFU 3.x attributes (like mssfu30name, etc) - and ignore the IDMFU RFC2307 attributes.
