Centrify DirectControl ,

Applies to: All versions of Centrify OpenSSH on AIX.

Question:
When the option "
mkhomeatlogin" in /etc/security/login.cfg is set to true, the user's home directory is not created at login when using Centrify built OpenSSH, and when AIX IBM supported version of SSH is installed, the feature worked.

Answer:

F
or local users will always have home directory created in account creating, AD users will always get home directory created by our Centrify DirectControl PAM module. The issue only exists when local user have their home directory removed and then login thru Centrify DirectControl SSH daemon.
The configuration of "mkhomeatlogin" is not a supported setting in stock version of OpenSSH. Hence the configuration is also not supported in the Centrify built version of OpenSSH and only the IBM modified version supports such feature. IBM modified "getty, login, rlogin, rsh, telnet, and tsm" to respect this setting.
