DirectControl 5.2.3 and earlier. Problem:
Symlinks placed in the /etc/skel/ directory are not preserved in the new user's home directory. The file that is linked to is copied to the new home directory instead. Resolution:
This issue has been fixed in Server Suite 2016 (DirectControl 5.3.0).
In DirectControl 5.2.3 and earlier, the presence of symlink can be checked and created as necessary using a script similar to the following:
