KB-6251: Force dareload to bind to Properties or another Collector

Centrify DirectAudit ,

12 February,16 at 11:14 PM

Applies to:  Centrify DirectAudit version 3.3 or above

Question:  Instead of waiting for DirectAudit Agent (dad) to restart every 4 hours, is there a way to force DirectAudit Agent (DAD) to rebind to new Properties or another Collector?

Root Cause:  Currently, adreload command does not necessarily perform a rebind to another Collector.

Answer:  Two options are introduced to the CLI command line dareload: -p and -b respectively.

dareload -p requests the DirectAudit daemon (dad) to reload properties from centrifyda.conf (By the way, this is a default option).
dareload -b requests dad to rebind to another collector. (Ref: CS-7025)
