Question:
Any special procedure required if Suite 2016 EA Report Service was installed and now want to install Suite 2016 GA?

Answer:
Yes.  There are significant changes to the database schemas and the internally used stored procedures in the Report Services database since the Early Access release.  This requires a new Report Service database.  Note that there is NO NEED to install a new SQL Server instance.
 
Also, there are changes to the database views that you can use for custom reports.  Please refer to section “Changes to database views”.
 
Upgrade Procedure:
Please follow the steps below to upgrade Centrify Report Services:
  1. Use the Centrify Server Suite Installer to upgrade Centrify Report Services.
  2. Click the “Finish” button in the “Finish” page to complete the upgrade.
  3. Invoke Centrify Report Services Configuration Wizard.
  4. In the “SQL Server” page, click on the radio button “Use an existing SQL Server instance” and verify that the specified SQL Server instance is correct. Click “Next>“ to continue. See Figure 1.

  1. Continue with the rest of the steps in the Centrify Report Services Configuration wizard. Make sure that “Deploy Centrify Reports” is selected in the “SQL Server Reporting Services” page.
  2. You can select to start synchronization from Active Directory now; or wait for the next scheduled time.
  3. You can use the Report Services Control Panel to verify if synchronization succeeds.  Also, note that the new Report Service is shown in the “Database Server” field. See Figure 2. New Reports are available after synchronization succeeds.

What happens if Centrify Report Services Configuration Wizard is not run?

If a new database is not created using Centrify Report Services Configuration Wizard after the upgrade, Active Directory information in the report database will not be re-built successfully; and the reports will not be accurate.  Also, Report Services shows that Rebuild failed with message like “Failed to remove existing data for domain.  Reason: The stored procedure could not be found.” Figure 3 is an example of the error shown in Report Services Control Panel.

How do I verify if the Report Service database is the correct version?
If you want to verify that the Report Service database is the correct version, you can use SQL Server Management Studio to verify that the following stored procedures exist in the database:
