Tips for finding Knowledge Articles

  • - Enter just a few key words related to your question or problem
  • - Add Key words to refine your search as necessary
  • - Do not use punctuation
  • - Search is not case sensitive
  • - Avoid non-descriptive filler words like "how", "the", "what", etc.
  • - If you do not find what you are looking for the first time,reduce the number of key words you enter and try searching again.

KB-5944: Auditor Console/Audit Analyzer cannot open queries with error "Audit Server does not have permission to connect to SQL server"

Problem:

Centrify has a KB article introduces the usage of outgoing account in Centrify DirectAudit. 
KB-4546: What is the purpose of outgoing account used in DA

Following error message prompts when opening queries in Auditor Console/Audit Analyzer even managementdb role has been granted to the outgoing account for all Audit Store databases.

This particular error indicates that the login credential is correct but access to database is not permitted.

Resolution:

Please following the 3 check points below to resolve this problem. 

1, Ensure the database really presents on the DB server and is online.

2, Ensure the mapping for outgoing account is enabled on all the Audit Store databases.

3, Ensure the 'Server authentication' is in mixed mode in case the outgoing account is defined with 'SQL Server authentication'
