KB-5942: Print job names appeared as adsmb-stdin instead of real document name

12 April,16 at 11:44 AM

Applies to: All versions of Centrify DirectControl for Mac

Problem:

After using cdcsmb, the print job name will appear as adsmb-stdin-xxxx instead of the real document name.

Cause:

The Centrify cdcsmb protocol uses the adsmb command to issue the print job, and hence the content will always come from the standard input.

Workaround:

Use the following command to print the file:
  • /usr/bin/adsmb print -h <hostname> -s <printer name> -l <filename>

Resolution:

This will be fixed in a future release.
