KB-5447: Create a custom report to display users that have not configured a security question

This article explains the steps needed to create a custom report in the Cloud Manager to display users that have not configured a security question

To get started, login to the cloud manager and select Reports from the top menu. On the left side of the reports page, click the "New Report" button. Give the report a name and optional description.

Example 1

In the report query field, copy and past the following syntax to create a report showing all users::
 
select UserName from User where ID not in (select UserGUID from Event where EventType = 'Cloud.Core.UserSecurityQuestionSet' and WhenOccurred >= DateFunc('now', '-999') )
 
 
Select "Preview" or simply save and run the report. It should display a list of all users that have not yet set a security question.


Example 2

In the report query field, copy and past the following syntax to create a report showing only active users:

select UserName from User
where ID not in 
 (select UserGUID from Event 
   where EventType = 'Cloud.Core.UserSecurityQuestionSet'
     and WhenOccurred >= DateFunc('now', '-999'))
and ID in
(select UserGUID from Event 
  where EventType = 'Cloud.Core.Login' 
    and WhenOccurred >= DateFunc('now', '-30')) 


 
If administrators wish to limit password reset mechanisms to only use the user-defined security question, you can set this in cloud policy - again from within the cloud manager. Expand the "Account Security Policies" and then "Password Reset" - de-select the options you do not wish to expose to end users.
