KB-5334: 802.1x profile cannot be generated using 5.2.2 with space in CA name

Mac & PC Management Service ,

12 April,16 at 11:11 AM

Applies to: Centrify DirectControl version 5.2.2 for Mac OS X

Certificates can be downloaded and corresponding profiles generated when using agent version 5.2.1 or earlier on Mac systems. However, after upgrading to 5.2.2, the profile will be gone and cannot be generated again.

The mapper script in Centrify agent version 5.2.2 cannot handle CA names with spaces. The certificate cannot be enrolled and hence no profile will be created.

Replace the installed mapper scripts with the attached modified versions:

This can be done via group policy with the steps below:
  1. Create a folder "macscripts" in the following location in AD:
    • \\ [domain] \ SYSVOL \ [domain] \ macscripts \
  2. Download the attached mapper scripts into the above folder.
  3. Configure the following group policy:
    • Computer Configuration >  Centrify Settings > Common UNIX Settings > Copy files
  4. Click Add and click Browse to get the script:
    • Set the destination to:
    • /usr/share/centrifydc/mappers/machine/
    • Enable the box for "Copy as binary file"
  5. Create a new entry in the Copy File GP:
    • Add the second script:
    • Set the same destination path and settings as in Step 4.
  6. Save the group policy and apply.
  7. Go to the Mac and run the Terminal command: adgpudpate
