KB-50826: libeda.so.0 Cannot Open Shared Object File

Authentication Service ,

31 March,21 at 03:54 PM

Problem: When trying to run Centrify commands as a user other than root, the following error message shows:

\usr\share\centrifydc\lib64\: error while loading shared libraries

libeda.so.0 cannot open shared object file, no such file or directory.

Troubleshooting:
1) Reinstalling CentrifyDC does not help with the issue.

2) Modifying the libpath to use \usr\share\centrifydc\lib64\ works as a workaround.

Cause: The STIG requirement for "fapolicyd" is causing the issue.

Resolution: Please disable fapolicyd then restart CentrifyDC. Appears there is an issue with the way RedHat handles this STIG setting. Please contact RedHat for further support.
