12 April,16 at 11:17 AM

Applies to: Centrify DirectControl 5.2.1 on OS X 10.10.X

Problem:

When running adcheck, the error "Verify that this is a supported OS: Failed, Unknown OS revision: 10.10.X" appears, even though Centrify DirectControl 5.2.1 is installed.

Cause:

This is caused by having an earlier build version of 5.2.1 installed that is not supported by OS X 10.10.X.
The latest builds of Centrify DirectControl 5.2.1 have been updated to fully support OS X 10.10.X.
Machines with older builds will need to be updated to allow the AD Check to pass successfully.

At the time of writing, the officially supported build for OS X 10.10.X is 5.2.1-531. Any build that is earlier than 5.2.1-531 is unsupported with OS X 10.10.X.  For example, build 5.2.1-301 is unsupported on OS X 10.10.X.

Resolution:

Update the Centrify DirectControl agent to 5.2.1-531.

After updating to the latest version, the build number can be verified by opening up terminal and typing: adinfo -v
