KB-4945: Users are not prompted for multi-factor authentication after setting policy

App Access Service ,

30 June,15 at 04:30 PM

After enabling authentication policy settings to require Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), users are not
challenged for additional authentication during login to the User Portal.

Centrify policy controls can be enabled for all users or specific groups of users. Administrators can also
temporarily disable MFA (10 minutes at a time) for specific users via the User Management options in the
Admin Portal. There can be cases where a specific user has been temporarily disabled for MFA and is
not receiving a prompt. Users must also belong to a role where the policy settings are being applied.

  • Ensure MFA is actually enabled in the authentication policy
  • Verify the User is a member of the role managed by the policy
  • View User properties in the Admin Portal and ensure the policy shows the correct MFA settings
If the issue persists, please contact Centrify Support
