Tips for finding Knowledge Articles

  • - Enter just a few key words related to your question or problem
  • - Add Key words to refine your search as necessary
  • - Do not use punctuation
  • - Search is not case sensitive
  • - Avoid non-descriptive filler words like "how", "the", "what", etc.
  • - If you do not find what you are looking for the first time,reduce the number of key words you enter and try searching again.

KB-4788: How to uninstall the Centrify mobile app for Android

The following article outlines how to uninstall the Centrify mobile app for Android devices.


Disable Device Administrators:

Before Admins or end users can uninstall the mobile app, it is required to first disable Centrify as a device
administrator. Failure to disable device administration will prevent removal of the  app.

1. On the device, launch the Settings app and select the "More" tab
2. Select Security > Device Administrators
3. Locate Centrify in the Device Administrators list and de-select the app checkbox
4. The Centrify permissions summary page will be displayed - select the Deactivate button
5. A prompt will be displayed that device will no longer be managed - select the OK button

Uninstall the mobile app:

1. On the device, launch the Settings app and select the "More" tab
2. Select Application Manager
3. Locate and select Centrify from the application list
4. Select Uninstall from the app properties
