Applies to:

Centrify DirectManage version 5.1.x and above

Question:

When installing or upgrading DirectManage, why is the wizard  prompt to install the Microsoft SQLServer Compact?  See the figure below.

Answer:

This is purely a hard requirement from Access Manager setup starting at version 5.1.0 (Suite 2013) and above.  This has nothing to do with DirectAudit.   The SQL Compact Server installer is in the Common folder of ISO.  The wizard will need to proceed with 'Yes' answer.  If 'No' is selected, it will return with an error as below:

"SQL CE SP2 is needed to run DirectManage Access Manager.  Please install SQL CE SP2 and restart this console".
