The "Centrify Profile" tab in "Active Directory Users and Computers" under any user profile throws the following error message "There is no valid DirectControl/DirectAuthorize license usage information available in the forest".
Problem: Accessing the "Centrify Profile" property under a user account in "Active Directory Users and Computers" the following error message "There is no valid DirectControl/DirectAuthorize license usage information available in the forest. Please install Centrify Licensing Service and make sure it is properly configured and running if you do not want to see this message again" pops up. (See screenshot below)
Cause: The "Centrify Licensing Service (Service)" has gone stale and/or a network change has happened requiring a service update (NOTE: under the "Centrify Licensing Service Control Panel" it will still show running in most cases.)
Workaround: Restart the "Centrify Licensing Service" under (Centrify Licensing Service Control Panel) followed by clicking the "refresh" button under the following (tabs) "DC/DZ Deployment" and "DA Deployment".
Solution: Launch "Centrify Licensing Service Control Panel" Check the following tabs "DC/DZ/ Deployment" and check for the following message "There is no DirectControl/DirectAuthorize license usage information available in the forest" also check the (tab) "DA Deployment" for the following message "There is no DirectAudit License usage information available in the forest".
Next, navigate back to the "General" (tab) locate below "Service status:" and click the "Restart" button. Navigate back to the "DC/DZ/ Deployment" (tab) and click the "refresh" button and do the same under the "DA Deployment" (tab).
Verify in "Active Directory Users and Computer" under a user account select the "Centrify Profile"property the issue has been resolved. (FYI, remember to close close down"Active Directory Users and Computer" then re-launch it for true verification)
