KB-4351: Problems encountered after ZPA upgrade to 5.1.3

Authentication Service ,

12 April,16 at 11:07 AM

Applies to:

Applies to Centrify Zone Provisioning Agent (ZPA) 5.1.3 on all platforms

After upgrading the ZPA server to Suite 2014 (5.1.3) from a previous version one or more of the following behaviors may be observed:
  • Users no longer being provisioned
  • Higher CPU usage on the ZPA server (80-90%)

An issue was recently identified where previous ZPA settings are not properly carried over to the latest version which will cause ZPA to stop working correctly.

Reconfigure ZPA manually. For example; remove any existing monitored containers then adding them back in and reapply those settings to force ZPA to rewrite the settings into the correct format.  Restart ZPA and it should work properly again.

In the event ZPA has not been upgraded yet, open the ZPA Agent Configuration Panel and take a screenshot of the configuration.
Then after the upgrade, check the configuration and manually restore any configuration settings changed by the upgrade using the screenshot as reference.

This will be corrected in an upcoming version of ZPA and the Centrify Suite.
