12 April,16 at 11:19 AM

Applies to:

DirectAudit 2.1.0 when using stock OpenSSH on AIX

Question:

A local user (like root) does not get audited on a Centrify Direct Audit server (2.1.x) running stock AIX OpenSSH

Answer:

This is an issue in the stock AIX version of OpenSSH. Centrify has implemented a workaround in Centrify OpenSSH.

Release notes:

Local user cannot be audited when performing login via built-in (stock) ssh. Customers are advised to install Centrify OpenSSH if auditing of ssh login by local users is required (REF: 33299)
