KB-4043: pwd command in dzsh gets incorrect value after cd failure

Centrify DirectControl ,

10 July,17 at 09:05 AM

Applies to:  Centrify DirectControl Suite 2014.1 and before

Problem:

In dzsh, with running command
cd to the directory failed, the 'PWD' and 'OLDPWD' environmental variables are changed.

For example,

user1@sues8v3:~> dzsh
dzsh user1 $ echo $PWD $OLDPWD
/home/user1
dzsh user1 $ cd /centrify
dzsh user1 $ echo $PWD $OLDPWD
/centrify /home/user1
>>>pwd command in dzsh gets correct value as expected

Try to cd to unaccessible directory and check the “PWD” and “OLDPWD”

dzsh user1 $ cd /home/user2
cd: can't cd to /home/user2
dzsh user1 $ echo $PWD $OLDPWD
/home/user2 /
centrify
>>>pwd command in dzsh gets incorrect value after cd failure which is unexpected

Resolution:

This is a known bug which has been fixed in Centrify DirectControl 5.2.2.
