Active Directory Users unable to login to AIX server after OS upgrade
After applying the latest 1939 Operating System patches on an IBM AIX machine, Active Directory Users are unable to login to the AIX system.
The following content is missing from the /etc/methods.cfg file: CENTRIFYDC: program = /usr/lib/security/CENTRIFYDC program_64 = /usr/lib/security/CENTRIFYDC64 options = noprompt
Option 1: Add the following content to the /etc/methods.cfg file manually: CENTRIFYDC: program = /usr/lib/security/CENTRIFYDC program_64 = /usr/lib/security/CENTRIFYDC64 options = noprompt
Option 2: - Download and extract the attached script (autoedit_default_methods.pl.zip) - Deploy the file into this location on the affected system: /usr/share/centrifydc/scripts/ - Set the file permission to 755 - Proceed to run this command: /usr/share/centrifydc/scripts/autoedit_default_methods.pl --cfg_file /usr/lib/security/methods.cfg
Note: A management and deployment tool can be used to deploy the script.
A fix for this issue will be included in the 2020 Centrify Infrastructure Services release.
