Centrify DirectControl ,

Applies to: All versions of Centrify DirectControl

Question:
What is the behavior of the adpasswd/passwd command when Smart Cards is in use on Windows?

A
nswer:
If AD users are only allowed to use Smart Card-based logons on Windows machines (i.e. NO username / password logins) and a UNIX machine is joined to AD using Centrify, there is NO need to run the "
adpasswd" command. This command is only used when it is required to update the standard password (Not the PIN).
