KB-30138: DirectAudit agent running with Centrify Client for Liunx 20.1 on CentOS7 and RHEL7 causes segfault

Auditing and Monitoring Service ,   Privileged Access Service ,

16 April,20 at 09:18 AM

Problem:

For the released version Centrify Agent for Linux 20.1, when it runs on machines such as CentOS7or RHEL7 machines with CentrifyDA deployed and auditing enabled. Run command such as 'ls -alh /bin/bash' by audited user will return segmentation fault.
[root@localhost tmp]$ ls -alh /bin/bash
Segmentation fault

Cause:

This is caused by a defect in the memory operation of the NSS module.

Resolution:

The issue has been fixed in the 20.1 hotfix (build 138).  It is available on the download center.

The following updates are also in the 20.1 hot fix release note:
  • The Linux agents have been updated – in some circumstances the agent would segfault (CC-73692).
