Tips for finding Knowledge Articles

KB-29194: Samba shares not accessible from Windows 10 machines

Problem: Centrify for Samba (adbindproxy) has been installed and the adbindproxy.pl script has been completed successfully. However, the Samba shares are not reachable from Windows 10 machines.



Cause: The Windows advanced feature for SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support has not been enabled.



Solution: Please enable this feature using the following steps:

1) Start -> Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off

2) Place a checkmark next to "SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support" as per the below example:
