KB-2864: Using mobile hotspot features with Centrify profiles installed

Centrify Identity Service, App Edition ,

12 April,16 at 11:47 AM

Applies to: Centrify Identity Service

Question:

If a user’s phone is configured to function as a mobile hotspot, will it create conflicts with any Centrify-installed profiles?

Answer:

Any device profiles installed by Centrify during the enrollment process should not conflict with the mobile hotspot function.

Please note that using the mobile hotspot feature will cause the device to disconnect from Wi-Fi networks, including wireless profiles installed during enrollment. Once the hotspot feature is turned off, the device should automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi.
