KB-28478: What is the method used to sync time when using CentrifyDC adclient.sntp.enabled setting?

Question:

How does Centrify adjust the time drift in case it is out of sync, when using the following setting in the /etc/centrify/centrifyd.conf file?

adclient.sntp.enabled: true

Does it forcefully reset the time or does it drift in seconds to match the correct time?

Answer:

When using the setting adclient.sntp.enabled: true in the centrifydc.conf, the CentrifyDC agent will do a force change of the time to sync it to the correct time, not a gradual change.
