KB-2819: How to generate a report using Centrify's adreport command.

Authentication Service ,

7 March,17 at 07:22 PM

Applies to: Centrify DirectControl 5.1

Question:
Is it possible to create reports from a Centrify Unix server?

Answer:
Centrify provides the adreport program/CLI to create reports for user, computer, and command data for a zone.

adreport generates a report from the database created by the addbloader command

addbloader must be first run to create an sqlite database containing information about a zone before adreport can be run to generate a report.

The basic syntax for the adreport program is:

adreport -db dbPath -report user | computer | command [-filter filter][-sep
csv | tab | char]

Examples of using adreport

The following command generates a user report from the database file /tmp/user_report.

/usr/share/centrifydc/adedit/adreport -db /tmp/user_report -report user

-db refers to the path to the database file created by the addbloader command.
-report user allows the specification of whether to generate user, computer or command data.
If specifying computer or command information, the information displayed can be filtered.
