KB-2724: ignored unsupported autofs nsswitch source "centrifydc"

Centrify DirectControl ,

12 April,16 at 11:10 AM

Applies to: All version of DirectControl on all platforms.

Problem:

centrifydc is set in an automount derivative of nsswitch.conf, but there is an error while restarting the autofs

It says the source "centrifydc" is unsupported:

serverA# grep ^auto /etc/nsswitch.conf

automount: files centrifydc

serverA# service autofs restart

Stopping automount: [ OK ]

Starting automount: [ OK ]

serverA# tail -1 /var/log/messages

Sep 21 17:20:19 serverA automount[6737]: ignored unsupported autofs nsswitch source "centrifydc"

Cause:

This is hard coded in autofs. Centrify will never be called.

autofs will ignore the source in /etc/nsswitch.conf and print out the error message.

Further details can be found in the link below (provided as a courtesy):
